Is it cheaper to buy cruise tickets ahead of time or wait till the last minute?

I was looking for my honey moon cruise, and I found it at good price. Now I check again and its $300 more expensive!!! Should I wait to buy at the last minute and get a better offer?

Answer :
As much as possible try to book your cruise ahead of time to avoid the rush especially during the peak season because some cruise destinations have seasonal availability. However, there are often some excellent last-minute carnival cruise deals that can be found either from their own website or other affiliate sites of Carnival cruise.

Answer :
Whether prices go up or down depends on the specific sailing you've chosen and how actual demand compares to the cruise line's estimate of demand. If they're filling fewer cabins than they thought, computers will adjust prices down. If they're filling more, prices will go up.

If you're set on a specific sailing, I'd suggest you go ahead and buy now. It's your honeymoon--don't let the risk of overpaying by a few hundred bucks ruin it.

However, if there are multiple sailings that will work for you, wait until a few days after final payments are due (it varies by cruiseline & cruise length--usually about 65-75 out from sailing). This is the point where lines can drop prices without risking passengers cancelling and rebooking at the lower rate. (i.e., they're locked in at the higher rate).

And finally, make sure you shop around. A good resource is http://www.cruisecompete.com. You select the cruise, then let agents compete to offer you the best deal. You can usually save about 10% or more over the lowest advertised price.

Answer :
The best way to get the lowest cruise fare is to book way in advance -- a year if possible. If you wait for a "last minute deal" you may not get the cruise you want, and if you do, you certainly won't get the cabin you want! Location is just about as important with cruise ship cabins as with buying real estate, and the cabins sold last are with virtually no exceptions the least desirable cabins. Book early!

Answer :
it really depends,on some cruise lines its cheaper to book a cruise on the cruise you are on

i like to book early so i can prepare and i will get the cabin and cruise i want

last minute deals are also good but you need to prepare fast and they might not have the room you want

Have fun on your cruise

Answer :
I'd go with booking early. Just because you have enough time to plan everything and maybe pay most of it off. There is a thing called early saver rates that you pay that price but if the price goes down you get the money back. we've never booked last minute but i don't like the idea because there is no guarentee that you are going to get the room you want

Answer :
Best way to get good deals is booking in advance. I have booked cruises over a year ahead of time. If your sailing with Carnival, use the early saver. Your cruise still may come down again. You may want to check the prices with http://vacationstogo.com/index.cfm There are many great deals offered. In fact, you may find a cruise thats more appealing to you .

Hope I helped!

Answer :
I've heard of some people getting good deals last minute but I don't believe it. I book almost a year in advance and I shop ALOT.

But there are some travel agents that say if the fare drops they will get it for you. I don't know if you can believe that or not either.

Answer :
I don't know. I hope it's not. The safest thing to do is google them. Never give anyone money you have not checked out.

Answer :
Nope, not a scam. I myself went on this cruise. As a Nigerian Prince I take many cruises, sadly due to some really sad thing, most of my money is in the hands of some bad guys, but actually, this is a long shot, could you help?

You see, if I could transfer what is left of my money (only $50000000) to someone kind enough to help me, I could save what is left of my fortune before they take it from me. Of course you would be reimbursed for your trouble, %5 of what I send.

Would you kindly help, you naive fuckwit.
