Feels like no one is caring, everybody is just cancelling on me?

So i have a dance show coming up in a week. All of my friends and family knew about this like months ago, everyone said they would come. In the end i find myself in a situation where i have tons of tickets to sell but no one to buy them. All of my friends cancelled because they wanted to throw a party instead,i wouldn't even call them friends anymore.lately i have felt kinda left out of our friend group. They just ditched me and said they didn't care about my dancing

Now my sister and her boyfriend cancelled,i really wanted her to see me dancing but no,they have a cruise to go on. My mom doesn't even seem to care, she's like yeah whatever i can come maybe..

It's like i have worked on this for months just to prove to everyone that even i can do something, because no one has ever really believed in me.. Now i have pretty much no one and it feels like no one is caring. Dacing is my life and no one wants to see me doing what i love to do.Sure i understand people might have better things to do but i've even told everyone it would mean the world to me if the people closest to me could come and watch.I'm really upset right now and i don't wanna force people to come.I want everyone to be happy,i just wish they would want that as well

Answer :
A pretty hard lesson to learn... you have nothing to prove to your family or friends. They will believe what they believe about you regardless of what you do to try to change their views. The thing important is proving to yourself you are worth it and you can do it. Invite neighbors, coworkers, classmates, or whomever to buy those extra tickets. Then put on one hell of a show... for you and only you. True happiness is finding your dream, your niche in life and embracing it no matter the opposition. The more opposition the more accomplishment you'll feel when you succeed.

Answer :
i think you have some pretty crappy friends and that if they were really your friends they would cancel their little plans and go because they could throw a party and do whatever they were going to do anytime but your performance is that one day and they are all being real selfish. forget those "friends" of yours and just ignore them and they will come running back. and for your family that is pretty messed up they should be supporting you and they should be excited about seeing you dance! it shoudl be time for them to put in some effort rather than just you all the time because it should go both ways . i know how it feels to feel like you have no one but just keep your head up and all that matters is that you believe in yourself dont let them get you down!

Answer :
i am 18 years old... i no exactly what youre going through... in order to answer your ? i have to tell u a little about myself... my parents were divorced wen i was three yrs old... then they both got remarried... now i have four parents and 6 siblings... things that are important to me got left in the dust for numerous reasons... i would always try to get my parents to appreciate me and tell me they were proud or even come to my skol for choir, softball, talent show, anything! but they would always come up with some excuse to miss it... it took 17 years for my dad to tell me he was proud of me... that was at my high skol graduation... and good friends are hard to find... i have one person i can tell everything to and thats it... n lately things havent gone good... now to answer ur question... just because theyre not there or they "dont' care" just means that they have something they find more important to do... its sounding like im telling u to hate them and forget them... but if u want this to work out to ur benefit treat them well and act like nothing happened... thatll make them feel like a**holes and then theyll no they hurt u when they think about it... and if they dont notice theyr not worth having close to you... i stop talking to my dad for 3 months because he was an a**hole before i realized that he does love me... he just shows it in the oddest way possible... people care about u even if you dont think so at least one person does... and hey guess what... i care about u otherwise i woulda skipped over ur ?... i no u dont no me but no this... i care... take it in stride and try to think of the positive... ur gonna kick a** at ur dance recital so go out there with a smile on and no ur worth it even f ur family and friends dont think so because as long as ur happy with wat ur doing... who can tell u to feel otherwise?

Answer :
the world can be such a cold place sometimes. This happens to ALL of us..times when friends and family let us down. Two things...do not give up on the friends...have forgiveness for their apparent selfishness. Next show, let them know about it ahead of time..even send announcements, and let them know how much it would mean to you to have them come. Second, go to your show and enjoy yourself...you're doing this for you, right? Then be sure and let them know what they missed!!! Living well is said to be the best revenge. If these same folks do it again, then it is time for payback. When they have something to celebrate, you bow out gracefully. I call it growing a backbone...that no one can take advantage of me unless I let them. Remember, reject the behavior, not the person. I hope you have a great show. Dancing and music are food for the soul.

Should I take Spirit Airlines from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale?

The flight prices for Spirit Airlines are awesome... and they have the arrival/departure times that work perfectly with my schedule, but the whole non-refundable ticket thing freaks me out. Is it worth the risk? Will I be left stranded somewhere? Also, I'm going on a cruise (i'm flying in a day before) but i really cannot afford to be delayed a day, etc. as I don't want to miss my cruise! Has anyone ever flown Spirit before? If it was a bad experience, what other airlines may be more reliable, but still have a good deal?

Answer :
go to BookMe. You can compare prices on all the major travel sites from one location. It's the only way you can guarantee the cheapest prices online.

I got a ticket in Fresno county for speeding over 70mph. is it possible to transfer the hearing to riverside?

It was10pm when I was driving cruise control at 70 mph on the fast lane of I-5 south Fresno county. My wife and 2 sons are with me during the trip from Reno. Suddenly, a dodge ram truck was tailgaiting and flashing headlights on me. I moved to the right lane to yield but then said truck moved on the same lane as if the truck driver was already intimidating me. I slightly pressed on my brakes to inform the truck driver to drive at a safe following distance. Unfortunately, the truck driver was picking on me. I felt that my family and I were in danger.

I had to step on the gas pedal and accelerate at 90mph in order to go to the nearest exit. When I left behind the truck, out of nowhere, a white CHP car was already following me, flashed his lights, and sirens. As I pulled over, I told the officer that I was avoiding the intimidating truck driver that was tailgaiting on me. Officer still gave me a ticket. I began to think that I was forced by the truck driver to overspeed in order for the CHP officer to catch me. The truck driver and CHP officer might possibly know each other.

what are my other options? my last traffic school was 6 months ago because of speeding at 73 mph on a carpool lane of 57 freeway. do i just attend the court hearing in Fresno at 8 am and plead not guilty, mail a request a trial by declaration? any suggestions?

Answer :
sorry but you have to show up in Fresno at 8:00 am if it's a mandatory appearance if not pay the fine, I'm sure the Judge has already heard that one.

Answer :
Your best bet is to call the courts and ask them. Or simply go to the courts website and see if they give you this option

Cruises: Buying tickets the day the ship sets sail.?

Is it true that if you show up the day a cruise ship is suppose to sail and buy a ticket than you can get a ticket for really cheap? If so has anyone ever done this and how do you do this. Would you recommend doing this?

Answer :
*According to Carnival, Yes you can book a cruise the same day it will depart with Carnival cruise lines. The thing is, there may not be cabins available. Give it a try, but all cabins may be taken.

*Carnival confirmed this....Call 1-800-carnival

Below is the reprinted details from Carnival website. It clearly says you can check in 90 minutes prior to departure time.

How does the Embarkation Process Work?
Remember, Government regulations for U.S. departure ports require that a final departure manifest is submitted 60 minutes prior to departure. Guests are required to provide us with the required information prior to embarkation. The easiest and most convenient way is to complete our FunPass on line registration process at least three days prior to departure. Guests that do not complete the registration process prior to embarkation are required to check-in at least 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time.

http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Embarka…

Hope I helped!

Answer :
NO!, You cannot go to any cruise port, or even cruise line and buy tickets on the day of sailing. The cruise lines no longer allow those type last minute bookings. Since 9/11 all of the cruise lines have changed their policies and now require passengers to register their personal information weeks before the cruise and now-a- days a last minute cruise would be one that you book a week or more before the cruise. All cruise lines request this information by regular mail or ask that you complete it on line on their web sites.

The reason for this is that all of the cruise lines must now provide a complete listing of all passengers (with all of that personal information: name, address, passport number, citizenship, etc) at least an hour before the ship sails. Thus the cruise lines want this information 3 days before the sail date so that on the sail they they can quickly provide it to Homeland Security. In addition, now all passengers must be on board the ship between 90 minutes and 2 hours before sailing so that the complete list of passengers can be submitted an hour before the ship sails. All of these requirements are on the cruise line web sites, generally in the question and answers section, or the boarding/departure section.

So the best you can do now for a "last minute" cruise is check with the cruise lines or a travel agent a week or two before the cruise date to see if there are cabins available. So 7 to 14 days is now your last minute cruise. I would not recommend such a last minute cruise (3 to 5 days before sailing) because you will NOT get a great price (the best prices are always offered for early bookings a year or more in advance. Inn addition the cabin selections at the last minute are usually the worse cabins on the ship, or the luxury suites that cost BIG bucks.

Answer :
No can do. The latest you can buy a ticket is about 24 hours in advance and very few cruise ships allow even that. Princess, for instance say you need 72 hours in advance. This all changed after 911 and is because of homeland security. If you want the very best prices for a cruise, you need to book about 1 year in advance. This has been proven to be a fact.

Answer :
The sailing day would be a risk as the names all have to be verified and on a manifest before the ship can depart. Call the cruise line and ask for the policy and the price.

Should I accept a free Caribbean Cruise?

Last year a buddy of mine and his wife ask me and my girlfriend to go to Aspen last year. They paid for the cabin and the air tickets. I was awed by their kindness. This year they are going on a Caribbean Cruise and ask us to come. They will pay for our cruise ticket and airplane ticket. Now I feel too weird to go. What should I do? I told him this is too much money to give away. His answer was "We just passing the popcorn". Meaning if they bought a big bucket of popcorn at the movie, after he gets his handful, he pass it down to his friends to have some too. What would you do?

Answer :
i would go for it, as long as you are humble and appreciative of the offerings and gifts. However i think you should return the favor some kind of way, or in a special way let them know you are grateful...sounds like really good friends!!! Friends like that are hard to find these days!!

Answer :
i understand why you feel weird about it, but if they are ok with it, and if you are good friends indeed, you should accept it.... if you are still having problems with it, you should really think of it as "popcorn" because for your friend it is obviously not much money to give away..

Are the free cruise tickets email a scan?

I have never been on a cruise before and want to expand my horizons. Looking for a inexpensive cruise on a safe and fun boat without spending a lot. Any suggestions?

Answer :
Yes, pretty much
They are usually a short cruise on a very crappy boat. They then try to sell you a time share. Since your on the boat and can't get off, they have a captive audience. Don't do it! If you want to try a short cruise, look for a 3 or 4 day cruise like to the Bahamas from Florida. Carnival has many of these And they do not cost much

Answer :
The least expensive cruises are generally on Carnival ships, and you might want to check the Carnival Cruise Line web site, which is http://www.carnival.com. You can also work with a travel agent who books a lot of cruises. Many people simply love Carnival cruises!

The "free cruise" things you get in the mail and on line are very short trips on a very old, dirty, ratty ship, and are gimmicks to sell time shares in high-pressure sales meetings. Do NOT deal with those people -- it is a ripoff!

Source(s):

frequent passenger

Answer :
Yes, I would be very careful with anything advertised as being "Free". In actuality, VERY FEW things in life really are. Those so-called "Free" trips you see advertised in the mail usually have some strings attached, and those strings or catches are not always easily detected. There are some very clever scams out there.

Sometimes the mailer might mention that you may only travel on a certain date, or that your transportation (airfare) to and from the port isn't included and you must book airfare through THEM, or... that you must pay a certain processing fee, or attend a long-winded, VERY hyped sales presentation.

I've seen some really sneaky ones, where they have a 900 number you are obligated to call, in order to claim your "prize" and get the details. When you call those numbers, you are placed on DELIBERATE, eternal hold! While you're waiting to get thru, to claim your "free" prize, the meter is ticking, and they're making a BOATLOAD (pun intended!) of $$ just off of your phone call! Then... even if you don't agree to their terms, and decide to option out of the deal, they STILL made a killing just from your phone call! (My mother fell for that one!) If those are not scams, I don't know what is!

Remember the saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." So be extremely careful.

Depending on where you live, how close to a port you are, and where you wish to sail, you may be able to find very good deals on a cruise. Carnival has some very reasonably-priced cruises, such as the ones from Long Beach, CA to Catalina Island and back.

Remember that even if a cruise is advertised at an amazing, affordable price, what they don't always tell you in big, bold print where you're likely to actually SEE and read it, is that there will almost certainly be extra charges added onto the bill at the end of your cruise. Things like drinks, gratuities, specialty restraunts and cafes, excursions, souvenirs, etc are not included. Plan on spending, on average, anywhere from $200 to $500 above the advertised price of a cruise, to cover those extra charges. Best to plan high. This way, you "might" have $$ left over afterwards.

Stop by www.cruisecritics.com or cruisemates.com if you want to read all sorts of reviews and articles about cruising. Those sites contain all sorts of great information.

Good Luck!

Answer :
It may not be a scam at all but it wont be a nice cruise. Most likely its an older cruise "type" ship with small pools, A/C that dont work right. These free cruise deals attract a rough type crowd. I don't recommend these things at all.
I suggest you take a cruise during the off peak season. They have 3/4 night cruises for like $150pp during that time. I know Carnival and Norwegian offers them. Sign up with http://vacationstogo.com/index.cfm and you can look for great prices in September/October. Its free to join and worth it. They also have a toll-free number.

Hope I helped!

Answer :
most people are quick to call it a scam, don't listen to them. a lot of time the "free" cruise tickets are not really "free" like you would think, you may have to "spend" time sitting through a time share pitch. depending how much you value your time, that would be the cost of the free cruise. also some of the smaller cruise ships will offer a free cruise, with the hopes that you will spend money on drinks & gambling, similar to Vegas giving away free hotel rooms.

Answer :
Without a question, the "free" cruise e-mail is a scam, just like virtually all others you get in your in-box asking for your info.

As for what is the cheapest cruise-line, it's a toss-up between Carnival and NCL. Since you have never been on a cruise before, you can't go wrong with either. Having said that, my experience with Carnival was less than stellar, so if you asked my advice, go with NCL. Deals on both lines can be found on their own websites as well as vacationstogo.com and cruise411.com. Both sites are excellent sources for finding the cheapest cruises, but before you attempt booking a cruise, go to cruisecompete.com to find an independent Cruise Agent that will do everything they can to get you an even better deal. An added value to hiring an independent cruise agent is that they work for you, not the cruise-lines. As such, they are more in-tune with your desires, and are a big help in not only answering questions before the cruise, but also during the cruise should you run into any unforeseen problems as a virgin-cruiser. I have been doing business with only one agent for more than five years now, because of her impeccable professionalism, and never-ending desire to get me the best deal offered (even after I have placed my reservation! All of this at the loss of a percentage of her commission too! Many times, she has back-checked last-minute pricing just to make sure to get me an even better deal than I signed up for months earlier.) There are many like her out there, so don't settle for a cruise-line agent who works for the cruise lines, when you can have an independent agent that works for you; especially when that agent does not cost one red-cent more for you to hire!

Lastly, since this is your first cruise, stick with the shorter 3 or 4-night itineraries. The reasons for this are multitude, but the most-obvious one is very few people suffer severe motion-sickness on cruises. (If you can handle air-turbulents during flights, you can easily handle the high-seas!) Should this unlikely experience be yours, you do not want to be on a 5,6,7-night or longer cruise. Once you have had the experience of cruising, you will be infected with the cruise-bug for the rest of your life; trust me! Dear friends of mine convinced me and my wife to take a weekend off from our business for just one weekend-long cruise to the Bahamas more than 6 years ago. It wasn't until that cruise on Royal Caribbean that I realized just how much of life I was missing not only for myself, but my family too! Now, those friends, their children, my wife, son and I take joint-family cruises every year! Last October, I even got 40 of my High School classmates to join me for a Class-Reunion @ sea! It went so well, that by the third night of our four-night cruise, people were asking me "When are we doing this again?!!! Needless to say, plans are already in the works for a second reunion @ sea next year.

Cruising is by far not only the best vacation dollar for dollar, but the best way to visit the world and learn about new cultures at the same time! We sail so frequently on Royal Caribbean, that our family is now a DIAMOND member of Royal Caribbean's Crown and Anchor Society. But that is for another discussion. lol.

What are the cheapest cruises departing NYC?

I have a week off starting March 20th. Tickets for miami are too expensive and its too late for me to go there, so NYC is the closest place to me that has cruises. I want a cruise that will leave from NYC and come back a couple days later or before the end of the week. If anyone can give me a website for the cheapest cruises for what I am asking that would be great.

Answer :
Right now, the BEST deals out of NYC are on NCL hands-down! Early and Late-season 7-night cruises to Bermuda are currently starting at less than $500.00pp, and Bahamas/Florida 9-night cruises are starting at less than $600.00pp on that line. Celebrity is also offering some good pricing out of the NY/NJ ports to Bermuda as well, but they are more limited on itineraries to that destination than NCL is. Finding a short 5-night or shorter cruise is impossible out of ANY northern port, so forget doing a cruise unless you are willing to fly down to Florida.

Vacationstogo.com is an excellent source for finding the best, cheapest and last-minute bargains, but a little-known site called "Cruise-Compete" (cruisecompete.com) is also fantastic for different reasons. It is a site that is funded by the Cruise-Agent industry. What you do is provide the site with all your specifics such as date, preferred port of departure, price, type of cabin, and any other details that can further-help agents find you a deal. From there, any participating agent on that site can get to work finding you the best deal around. This has independent agents competing for your business and in essence working for you, rather than some faceless cruise-line agent who works for the the cruise-line. I have used this resource previously with fairly-good results.

Lastly, if you are looking for a short (less than 7-nights) cruise, you are really eliminating yourself if you are unwilling to consider a cruise out of Port Canaveral (Orlando), Miami, Ft.Lauderdale, Tampa or Jacksonville. Flights out of Westchester, LaGuardia, JFK, or or Newark on JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Air-Tran or one of the big-boy airlines can still be had at less than $100.00 each-way including all fees and taxes, making a short 3, 4 or 5-night cruise a bargain if you hurry. As long as you have a MINIMUM of 7 days advance-notice, you should be able to find a flight out of one of those airports for the price I quoted above.

Answer :
There aren't going to be any three or four-day cruises from NYC at this time of year - they can't go anyplace warm in that timeframe. In the summer, you can sometimes find short cruises to Canada from NYC.

Answer :
If you want to leave from NY NCL has the 7day cruise on NCL Gem. Also if you want to avoid the plane you can consider maybe a cruise from Baltimore the drive is not that far.

Who knows a lotabout disney world and cruise lines???? Help!?

Ok, i need to know as muchas possible. we r going soon. like when is the best time to go? what r the best rides? hows the cruise? what do u get to do? what souvineers should you 4sure buy? how much does the whole trip cost? is it better to do the combo land and sea pack? how many days should i go? etc. someone will get ten points! o and we r a family of four, and include plane tickets. Thanks!

Answer :
I'll try to answer all of your questions as best I can!

1. When is the best time to go:
-If you're going to visit Disney World, the best times to go are when school is in session and there is no major holiday or event happening. Since you are a family of 4, I don't know if you have children in school. If you do, and don't mind pulling them out for a week, this is when I would recommend going
-The end of January or early February. Early to Mid-May. The first week of June. The last week of August. Anytime in September or October. Early November. Early December.
-If you will have kids in school, try to avoid going over major holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving. The parks will max out each day. Try going the first week they are out of school, or the last week before they go back. These weeks will be the best bet for you in that case, as most people travel in the middle of the summer.
-For the cruise line, anytime is fine to go, provided you avoid hurricane season. If you'd like to ensure warmer weather for your cruise, try to plan your trip between March-September sometime. It gets chillier in the winter.

2. The best rides are really subject to the opinion of each rider. The following are quite popular:
-Space Mountain
-Splash Mountain
-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
-The Haunted Mansion
-Pirates of the Caribbean
-Jungle Cruise
-Test Track
-Mission: Space
-Spaceship Earth
-Dinosaur
-Expedition Everest
-Tower of Terror
-Rock N Roller Coaster

3. The cruise is fantastic! There are so many things for both kids & adults to do. There are adult-only areas that you can go to if you don't have kids with you. If you do, there are activities for the kids, and really fun/themed pools for the kids. There's water slides, Disney characters, and themed restaurants. At night there are shows in the theater. The ports that you stop at are all beautiful - especially Disney's private island Castaway Cay. Only people on Disney Cruises get to see it here.

4. Souvenirs are also subject to each person's likes & dislikes. I always like to get a picture frame with the year on it, as well as some kind of t-shirt. You have to get a pair of mouse ears, it's just tradition! You can wear them around the park, and then keep them forever. If you have a favorite character, you can stock up on pens/stationary/stickers/mugs and anything else that has them featured on it. Disney has no shortage of souvenirs! The best souvenir you can get is the pictures that you take yourself though. Don't forget to take lots of pictures!

5. A whole trip is hugely varied in cost depending on if you stay on Disney property or off property. Some Disney hotels like Pop Century will only cost you $600-$800 for the week. Grand hotels like the Polynesian can cost up to $3500 or more for a week. Also, if you eat at more fancy sit-down restaurants, your bill each night will be $100-$200. If you eat quick service meals, it will be much lower. Airfare again is impossible for me to calculate without knowing where you are flying from, and when. On average, you can usually get a plane ticket for $150 round trip - but I have seen them up to $400. As a rule of thumb, the earlier you book the better. Plane tickets tend to rise the closer you get to the date.

6. If you're just going to go to Disney World, give yourself a week. It's a long enough time to see the 4 main parks, and still have some relaxation at the pool. Any shorter, and you will be rushed. Longer is always better but then it gets more expensive. Most people I know go to Disney for a week.

7. The land & sea pack is great if you want to do both Disney and the Cruise. If you do this, make sure you make a list of what you really want to see in the parks because you won't have time to do everything. If you have a priority list, you can make sure you don't miss anything you really want to do. If if's your first visit, I would suggest just visiting Disney World, as there is so so much to do. If you really want to do a cruise, consider just going the week long cruise. There are plenty of ports to see, and plenty to do on the boat. Combining the two is nice if you've already seen Disney before, but might make you feel rushed if you haven't.

Have a great trip!

Answer :
I would HIGHLY recommend that you buy a guidebook or two. Pretty much every question you asked could take paragraphs to answer. I also recommend this excellent planning website: http://www.allearsnet.com

Disney cruises are generally the highest rated cruises at any travel website you look at. And if you have the money, then yes, I would do the combo pack. You can go on their website and get a quote for the price for everything. Anytime kids are in school is better for the parks.

Answer :
I don't know too much about Disney Cruise lines, however, www.key2disneydining.com has a lot of great information as far as Disney World goes. They give information on menus, prices and everything. They give you all this info for every single restaurant in Disney World. They also talk about dining plans, kosher meals and things like that. I highly recommend you take a look if you want to learn more about WDW.

How can i make at least $900 by June?

This summer my best friend is turning 15. She is Colombian and in her culture they have quinces instead of sweet sixteens . They are veryy important to them. My friend doesn't want one though so instead her dad is going to spend that money on a trip. She can invite one friend and choose me(:

We would first get flown to Spain where we would stay with her stepmother over night i don't know how long exactly. Her fathers paying for that. then from there we would get on our cruise. It's 20 days long. We would be stopping at Italy, Greece, and Turkey. I just would have to pay for my cruise ticket. Also i don't have a passport so id have to pay for that. I know that if I don't go ill never end up doing anything like this so I guess you can consider it a once and a lifetime opportunity. Also I just reallly want to go. lol.

So I was wondering how I can earn the money to go. My mom isn't willing to spend the money. I have no other adult support, money wise. I am 15 years old so i cant get a normal job but I do babysit. At the moment i have $300 and I'm predicting I need to earn at least 900 more please any ideas. Faster i can get the money the better. thank you.

Answer :
first of all, how long did it take you to get $300? if it onlyy took you like 1-2 months, then that will be no problem getting it by june.you could try and do some small extra jobs, like a paper round- you get about $20 a week for that. if you help your mom around the house like doing the washing up or hovering or somthing-she might give you some money for that (:

Answer :
I have been working from home for 4 1/2 years.

It is great to be able to set my own hours and work days, but is still work. If you are serious, send me an email:

wahopportunities1@gmail.com

I can help you get started and give you any advice I can through email (obviously for free)

Answer :
flip it. sell ur ****. or sell some ****. ah ehhh h? o but really just save up everything u get and dont spend if possible, babysit as much as u can. and McDonald's hired 15 year olds ur still aloud to work just like 25 hours a week that's when i had my first job...n now going on 6 years of endless morning grinds and putting uo with bullshit all day/. go onto this site called sitter.com u can make a profile for ur area and moms can find u and hire u. It would be a great way to get ur name out there and make more money then with the clientele have now. but if u want that cruise really bad ur going to have to save n that means not to much of partying or going out. but ur right not alot of people get to do that. totally jealous

Answer :
okay first you should watch the movie called brokedown palace is about two girls who go on a trip. You will learn what not to do in a trip ok. Its a sick movie, grate! believe me.

Then i think you shoul do the homework of your friens and make some money doing that easy thing for example typing their homework that they already did.

You can also buy altoids, tridents clorets, halls and sell to your friends at school. (bad breath) you can sell it to the boys and girls who have boy friend and girl friends and tell them that you do it for your trip.

Open an account on ebay and sell everything you dont need, or do a garage sell.

well, i hope you can get the money.

My girlfriend and I want to go on a cruise over spring break. Which cruise line should we go on?

I'm over 21 and she is under, but we both want to drink. Are there any options for us?

We are also only looking to spend about $250 or less per ticket.

Answer :
The $250 is going to be your limiting factor, especially over spring break. If you can find a cruise for that price, it will almost certainly be on Carnival. I'm afraid you'll have problems even with Carnival though because I just looked the other day for my sister. Here's a good website to compare prices; you don't have to book with them, but feel free if you want. www.cruise411.com. Pretty much all websites offer the same prices, but some offer some small perks.

I wouldn't worry about the drinking age. I've never been carded on a cruise, and even if they do card, they'll let you buy for her as long as you don't announce that you're buying for an underage person. Seriously, you'll be in international waters where there is very little law, there are no cops on board that want to bother with that sort of crap, and they want you to have a good time. Just don't be stupid about it.

Edit: Alright, I guess things have changed since I was under 21. It has been a long time after all. I am still confident that, if you buy drinks, nobody will have a problem with both of you drinking so long as you behave yourselves.

Answer :
If you're talking about seven days, in spring break period, there's no way you'll find a cruise for < $250 each. Even if the fare alone were that low, you'd have to add port charges, taxes, government fees. Then there's also $10 per passenger per day in tips, alcohol/soda, excursions [even if you just "grab a cab" in each port], etc. It adds up.

In addition, you'll have age restrictions. Carnival isn't possible. NCL often costs more [even tho it's a lesser-quality cruise] and so is Royal. The cruise lines want to avoid "spring breakers" if possible, as they tend to disrupt other passengers, especially the family demographic the cruise lines depend on.

She would not be "legally" able to drink. The key cards are coded as to > or < 21. You could, of course, buy drinks to give to her, and as long as you didn't get rowdy it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Spring break time is a popular and expensive time to cruise, especially if you're talking about Easter week. Lots of public schools have vacation time in February and March. Those cabins have likely already booked up.

Answer :
She will not be able to drink. You must be 21 or older to drink.

for a price range that you're asking for, you're going to be limited to a 4 day cruise, maybe.

If you are planning on going on Carnival as others have suggested, I hope you are at least 25. Carnival has a higher age requirement.

If you aren't 25+, your choices are very slim because you will have to go with RCCL or NCL, but then you will probably not find anything more than a 3 day cruise to the bahamas and back.

Even if you are in international waters, These ships still obey US law when it comes to alochol.

Answer :
She will not be able to drink but you will. Also, aside from just the cruise fare there are other expenditures. Alcohol and sodas are generally not included and many ships add gratuity to those items. Shore excursions are not free. Internet service is not free. I can't think of a line that would fit your budget.

Answer :
Kyle is 100% incorrect regarding alcohol on cruises. The drinking age is 21 if you are on an American ship and they do card. My husband and I are in our mid twenties, and we were carded on Princess for both drinking and at the casino. They track your age through your cruise card, which takes your details from your passport. Being in International waters has nothing to do with it.

You're going to have a hard time finding a cruise for that little money. You may find one through Carnival, but I think they require one of you to be 25+. Spring break is an expensive time.

Sweet 16 vacation help?!?

so i want to go to on vacation for mi sweet 16 during the summer, but i was wonderig if u invite friends to come with u, do u have to pay for their ticket or they pay for their own?

and any ideas of where to go?
like a cruise to where..?
or a flight to where..?

please and thank you!!(:

Answer :
well, happy birthday! (sorry if i am early or late).

But if you are getting a plane ticket, have your friends pay for their own and if they cant afford it, you can pay some, not all. For the hotel room, have everyone split it it but you can have slightly less!!

I suggest going to the cayman islands! I have been there and stay at the Marriott hotel because it is really nice. If you go there, go parisailing, scuba diving, and go to sting ray city. But bring a lot of $ everything there is expensive.

You could also go to Florida if you are looking for something less expensive. Go to Sarasota and stay at Longboat Key Resort. It is about $300 per night but soo worth it. It rain there a lot though. And go to St. Armands (don't know if i spelled that right) Circle. Go to Kilwins because they have great ice cream and peanut brittle.

Hope this helped!

Is it cheaper to buy cruise tickets ahead of time or wait till the last minute?

I was looking for my honey moon cruise, and I found it at good price. Now I check again and its $300 more expensive!!! Should I wait to buy at the last minute and get a better offer?

Answer :
As much as possible try to book your cruise ahead of time to avoid the rush especially during the peak season because some cruise destinations have seasonal availability. However, there are often some excellent last-minute carnival cruise deals that can be found either from their own website or other affiliate sites of Carnival cruise.

Answer :
Whether prices go up or down depends on the specific sailing you've chosen and how actual demand compares to the cruise line's estimate of demand. If they're filling fewer cabins than they thought, computers will adjust prices down. If they're filling more, prices will go up.

If you're set on a specific sailing, I'd suggest you go ahead and buy now. It's your honeymoon--don't let the risk of overpaying by a few hundred bucks ruin it.

However, if there are multiple sailings that will work for you, wait until a few days after final payments are due (it varies by cruiseline & cruise length--usually about 65-75 out from sailing). This is the point where lines can drop prices without risking passengers cancelling and rebooking at the lower rate. (i.e., they're locked in at the higher rate).

And finally, make sure you shop around. A good resource is http://www.cruisecompete.com. You select the cruise, then let agents compete to offer you the best deal. You can usually save about 10% or more over the lowest advertised price.

Answer :
The best way to get the lowest cruise fare is to book way in advance -- a year if possible. If you wait for a "last minute deal" you may not get the cruise you want, and if you do, you certainly won't get the cabin you want! Location is just about as important with cruise ship cabins as with buying real estate, and the cabins sold last are with virtually no exceptions the least desirable cabins. Book early!

Answer :
it really depends,on some cruise lines its cheaper to book a cruise on the cruise you are on

i like to book early so i can prepare and i will get the cabin and cruise i want

last minute deals are also good but you need to prepare fast and they might not have the room you want

Have fun on your cruise

Answer :
I'd go with booking early. Just because you have enough time to plan everything and maybe pay most of it off. There is a thing called early saver rates that you pay that price but if the price goes down you get the money back. we've never booked last minute but i don't like the idea because there is no guarentee that you are going to get the room you want

Answer :
Best way to get good deals is booking in advance. I have booked cruises over a year ahead of time. If your sailing with Carnival, use the early saver. Your cruise still may come down again. You may want to check the prices with http://vacationstogo.com/index.cfm There are many great deals offered. In fact, you may find a cruise thats more appealing to you .

Hope I helped!

Answer :
I've heard of some people getting good deals last minute but I don't believe it. I book almost a year in advance and I shop ALOT.

But there are some travel agents that say if the fare drops they will get it for you. I don't know if you can believe that or not either.

Is the caribbean cruise i received in the mail a scam?

i received a 2 day cruise for 2 from florida to the bahamas. they said all i had to pay was the 118.00 for me and my fiance to get on the boat plus plane tickets to get from vegas to florida. i already gave them my credit card info to pay for the 118.00. i have heard from alot of different people on different websites that this is a scam but i dont think so. has anyone received anything like this?? if so please let me know if its a scam or not please a.s.a.p. thank you so much

Answer :
I don't know. I hope it's not. The safest thing to do is google them. Never give anyone money you have not checked out.

Answer :
Nope, not a scam. I myself went on this cruise. As a Nigerian Prince I take many cruises, sadly due to some really sad thing, most of my money is in the hands of some bad guys, but actually, this is a long shot, could you help?

You see, if I could transfer what is left of my money (only $50000000) to someone kind enough to help me, I could save what is left of my fortune before they take it from me. Of course you would be reimbursed for your trouble, %5 of what I send.

Would you kindly help, you naive fuckwit.

Are my parents being cheap?

We are flying to Atlanta, GA and we are going to be flying coach instead of First Class. It's a 2 hour flight. Why can't we fly First Class? Whenever Mom and Dad go by themselves they get First Class. Why do we all have to get coach? I'm sorry, but coach is so overrated.

In July we are going to have a family reunion cruise. I found out that Mom and Dad are getting the "better" room and I'm going to be sharing a cabin with 2 other family members. Are they being cheap? When I complained to them about it they said "It cost you nothing."
They did pay for my ticket and cruise costs but is it fair?

Answer :
KEY WORD: FREE.

You sound very ungrateful. You're not having to pay for anything and you're complaining about it? You're NOT paying for the plane tickets, the hotel room, the activities you and your family are going to do, the eating out at restaurants, nor the cruise. All of this (and more) is FREE to you. Of course, you can buy your own First Class ticket. Those tickets start at $1000.

If you don't like the accommodations, you can stay home. I'm sure someone else would love to take your place.

Troll.

Answer :
No they are stretching their dollars. Quit whining. If you don't like coach then pay for
your own tickets. If you don't like the room accommodations then pay for your own or don't go.

Answer :
No, you're just being an arrogant brat. I don't even get to go to nice places like that... let a lone first class if I do go on an airplane.
Plus, they feed you and put a roof over your head, right? So don't go around acting like they don't give a damn about you.

Answer :
Well they answered your question. They said 'It cost you nothing.'
I'm guessing that means 'You're not paying for it. It's my money that's paying for it. You should be grateful for....'

Answer :
That is fair. You are going on a cruise and flying to Atlanta. I would be happy with that since the economy is in shambles at the moment. Basically everyone fly's coach. It isn't bad at all. You can survive two hours.

Answer :
its totally fair.. until you can pay for yourself, you do what your parents say and that is sharing a room and flying coach...

its two hours, why do you need first class for, its not like its such a long trip... and they are problably getting coach becasue now that they have to pay for you they cant afford to fly first class...

they arent being cheap, your just being selfish!!!

Answer :
Yes its fair. You sound like a spoiled child. Do you even know how bad the economy has been??

They are flying coach because its much cheaper. I've flown in coach for 8 hours before and you think 2 hours is hard?

As for the cruise, be lucky your even going on a cruise and that you arent having to pay for it! Im 21 and Ive never been on before so be grateful!

And of course you are going to get a smaller room and sharing with with other people. You are just a kid.

Be grateful and grow up.

If your spouse allowed it and you could, which celebrity would you want to spend the night with?

Most couples that my wife and I are friends with have jokingly allowed their spouse to have sex with their celebrity crush. My wife USED to like Tom Cruise before he went nuts, had a thing for Mathew Mcconaughey for a while, and now for some reason she's on a kick about Keith Urban (personally I don't get it).

Now my personal favorites have traditionally included Elle McPhereson, Ashley Judd, Heather Locklier, and Daisy Fuentes. I've also been growing on Christina Applegate lately too. But after seeing JENNIFER ANISTON in a bikini on the front page of the Enquirer I might have to add her to the list! DAYAM! Is it me or she hotter now than she was 15 years ago?

So ANYWAY! Who is YOUR celebrity free ticket? Or are you going to lie and insist that the person your married to is the only one you'd ever want to spend the night with? LOL!

Answer :
I have no celebrity crushes....however if the opportunity came up for me to have a conversation with one, my list would be rather interesting.

Celebrity crushes are rather juvenile, IMO...never had 'em but then I never was a silly giggly girl.

Answer :
Well I could tell you Megan Fox or Jessica Beil, but I've always had a thing for Charisma Carpenter, Brooke Burke, and Alyssa Milano. If I had to pick just one...it would have to be Alyssa...we're the same age and I grew up having a crush on her...lol

Answer :
Guess I am too old to play this game. There are a few actors who made me weak in the knees, but I can't say that I ever wanted to have sex with them. Sure would have liked to have kissed them, though!

Answer :
Okay, I'll play along.
I find Ashton Kutcher and Ryan Renolds extremely attractive.
And my husband thinks that Megan Fox is hot.
Honestly, though, if it came right down to it, I would not be able to have sex without love.
My husband would really, really want to, but I don't think that he would unless I was completely okay with it. I don't think that I would be. I'm a pretty cool wife, and I look pretty good (according to him), but how in the world could I ever hope to compete with his fantasy woman? I'm not THAT secure.

HELP! I GOT A SPEEDING TICKET AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT!!!!!!!?

So, yesterday, February 10th, 2010 i got a speeding ticket on my way to school. I was clocked at 70 in a 55, but i had my cruise control on at 65. Once he clocked me the cop turned around and road my butt for at least 0.6 miles before turning on his lights to pull me over. Once he pulled me over he did the usual and got my licence and and registration and proof of insurance. When he came back and gave me the ticket he got in his car and I left. Once i arrived to campus i noticed that on the ticket it had on the bottom right side where the offense happened. Well where it says that it also says miles, where it says miles it said 8.... does that mean how many miles it took the officer to pull me over? because if so then that is wrong and i could get the ticket dismissed. If it's not then is there any way to dismiss this ticket. It is costing me $133.00 and i can't afford that, i also can't afford the insurance so I wont be able to drive.

Additional Details

I live in south carolina and i got a ticket for speeding for 15 over and im not going to lie i was speeding i was going 10 over. but i was going with the flow of traffic. Im 19 years old. would there be any chance in dropping the ticket, i still haven't gone to court for my first ticket i have gotten.

Answer :

Well, you might get the ticket reduced say to 5 or 10 mph over. But that's probably it. But reducing the cost might be more difficult. Cities and states are strapped for cash like everyone else these days, and desperately need the revenue. Chalk it up to learning those speed limits are laws, not suggestions.

Answer :

1. You ADMIT you were speeding by 10 mph. The MOST you can hope for is reducing the fine category from +15 to +10. I have no idea what the '8' refers to. There is no equivalent spot on any speeding ticket I have ever seen. I do agree with a prior answer it may state .8, as in 0.8. That would be consistent with YOUR version of what happened.

Answer :

I don't know but I got a ticket just today but didn't you ask him to see how he actually got you like with his radar and all. If he just estimated you can fight that but the one thing you want to hope for is for him to not show up at all so I would suggest putting off the court date as much as possible with as many excuses as you can make up.

Answer :

133.00 is cheap...are you adding in the court fee's? You can write a letter to the DA and admit your guilt and as for the ticket yo be reduced. (instead of hiring an attorney) this will lessen the points going on your license. You need to see if you can get it dropped to a 64 in a 55 or less.

Answer :

If this is your first offense and you are young (under 25), you should qualify for some sort of defensive driver course that will A: remove the ticket from your record, B: cost you much less than the ticket, and C: teach you not to speed in the first place.

Answer :

probably says .8 as i 0.8 on his copy of the ticket.....which sounds about right.......u can get ur speedo tested at a shop and take the paperwork saying its fixed in to judge but u will most likely spend more than the ticket to get it fixed....btw that is a fairly cheap ticket these days.....

u can request a jury trial.......here it pushes the ticket off for like 3 years....at which time if u plead guilty the points no longer can b accessed so no insurance hike.....

also can in some areas send in a money order for 1 dollar more than the ticket and never cash the return check which keeps ticket open thus never showing up on ur license......

don't know if those ideas will work since u didn't say where u lived.....good luck

What do you think of my Italy itinerary?

Hello folks, I have put together a rough sketch of my itinerary for my trip through Italy. I'm going this March over spring break. I plan on visiting Rome and Italy. It's a little rushed, but I honestly am a little more fast-paced than most people, so I wouldn't mind being kind of rushed. I mainly want to make sure that the places I want to see are feasible to visit and in similar parts of town.

Just a note: I cannot change the day that I land in Rome (Saturday at 18hr) or the day that I leave (Sunday at 4hr). I cannot change the location where I land. I'm aware that I'd save time if my flight schedule was different, but at this point I cannot change it. The flight and three nights in a Roman hostel are the only reservations that I have paid for though, so everything else is flexible.

What do you think?

Saturday: Land in Rome at 6 p.m., check into my hostel.

Sunday: Cappuchin Crypt - Museum of Rome - Borghese Gallery - Appian Way - Travastere walk (North City Center of Rome)

Monday: Colosseum, Forums, Palatine Hill, Pantheon. Pub crawl.

Tuesday: Castel Sant'Angelo - Ponte Sant'Angelo - Catacombs of Priscilla

Wednesday: Audience with the pope (I have a letter from the Vatican saying I can get tickets!), Sistine Chapel - St. Peter's basilica - Vatican museum

Answer :
This is not too bad other than the Appian Way being off the rest of the route for Sunday. I usually walk when I go to Rome and you can cover quite a lot of territory in a day.

Note that the night train for Venice leaves from the Roma Tiburtina station rather than Roma Termini. It's not difficult to get there, but you do need to be at the right station. The night train is a good way to go; paying a little more for a berth in a 4 bed compartment is worth it. It's much more comfortable than a seat and easier to sleep through the night. Given your schedule in Venice, getting some sleep through the night will be important.

It would be a good idea to have a reservation for the Vatican museum since you don't want to be waiting in line anywhere for an hour or more. You could also reserve a time for the Accademia in Venice - whether there's a line depends on when you go. Most of the time I haven't had to wait there. You can get a combined ticket for the Doge's Palace and the Correr Museum which is on the other end of Piazza San Marco. If there's a line for tickets at the Doge's Palace, there almost never is at the Correr; it's faster to buy the ticket there even if you only want to see the Doge's Palace.

There is no 8 am train to Rome from Venice. There is one at 8:27 am that will get you to Roma Termini at 12:13 which is close to your schedule. You didn't say which airport you arrive at and depart from in Rome. It takes about a half hour or so to get to either airport from Roma Termini plus any waiting time for transportation. If everything is on time, you'll be able to get to Fiumicino at 1:23 pm on the Leonardo Express if that's the airport you're leaving from. While this is adequate time for your flight if everything is running on time, I would recommend taking an earlier train to Rome to give you a little more cushion in case the trains are running late.

Answer :
i think is is a good plan, above all.
For Rome Galleria Borghese be aware that you have to book (http://www.ticketeria.it/Default-eng.asp… You can buy also a 3 day card called Roma Pass (http://www.romapass.it/?l=en) which has included transports and museum entrances and discount). While you are walking I suggest you also to have a look at S.Carlo alle quattro fontane (beautiful tiny Baroque churh by Borromini) and Piazza Navona (Bernini fountain). And also, don't forget to eat "carciofi alla giudia" (artichokes) and "pasta alla gricia or amatriciana" (Pasta with kind of bacon). And if you are interested on modern art, very close to Galleria Borghese there is the GNAM (National Modern Art Gallery).
For Venice I also suggest Burano.

Answer :
I haven't been to Venice, so I'll confine my answer to your Rome itinerary.

Sunday--You might want to skip the Cappuchin Crypt. I was psyched about seeing it, but was kind of disappointed. It's only four very tiny rooms, takes less than five minutes to see, and you can't take pictures. Plus, unlike the other churches, there was a woman carefully observing the whole time to make sure that nobody took pictures and that people left an adequate donation. The pictures that you'll find online do it justice, and I can't say that about anything else in Rome. It's creepy, but not worth working into your limited time in Rome. You left out so many must-sees that I have to recommend that you replace this with something else. Maybe the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain? As a previous poster mentioned, the Four Rivers Fountain in Piazza Navona is also magnificent. Also, as people have told you already, you're kind of all over the place on Sunday.

Monday--Now THIS is a solid day. The Colosseum and forums are essential, and the Palatine is a nice break from the hustle and bustle. The Pantheon is indescribably stunning. I would also work the Capitoline Museums in on this day. You don't get chances to see a collection like theirs very often, and it's practically on top of the forum. The pub crawl is a good idea. ;)
Word to the wise, get a Roma Pass. It will get you into the Colosseum without standing in line (it's kind of like having one of those tollway passes while all of the other suckers are stuck in traffic waiting to throw coins into a basket). It's also good for the Borghese Gallery, but if you decide to hit the Capitoline Museums, use it there instead since that's more expensive. It's also good for unlimited public transportation.

Tuesday--I don't know that the Castel Sant'Angelo has much inside worth spending time on, and you can probably get a similar (if not better) view from the top of St. Peter's dome. If you just want to see it from the outside, it's right next to the Vatican and you can see it on Wednesday. I'm not familiar with the catacombs, but I humbly suggest that you make Wednesday a "church day." Even if you're not religious, the art and architecture of Rome's churches are... geez, try to come up with a word to describe a scene where Raphael and Caravaggio did the painting, Michelangelo did the statuary and Bernini did the facade... Every church seems to be its own Borghese Gallery.

Wednesday--Good plan. Get your Vatican tickets online in advance if you still have time. I'm sure you'll have to work around the Pope's schedule, but do St. Peter's first if you can, then see the museum and Sistine Chapel. The tour groups tend to go to the museum/chapel first, and it will be less crowded after noon. Please, pretty please, don't ignore the museum in your hurry to get to the Sistine Chapel. It's arguably the greatest museum in the world, and every piece in it is the best of the best.

And here's two bonus tips about the Leonardo Express train from FCO to Rome. One, when you board the train at FCO, walk the length of the train at FCO and sit in one of the front cars; that will save you from having to walk that distance at Termini, which is crowded and stressful. Two, sit on the left side of the train; after you cross the Tiber, you can see glimpses of the Aurelian walls and the pyramid.

Have a great trip!

Answer :
St Mark's Basilica: there could be large queues in the afternoon. Try to rearrange your schedule so you get there early - the Basilica opens at 9.45am. Also take the time to visit the Basilica's Museum, which is upstairs and provides a fantastic view from a balcony of the interior of the Basilica - you're right up there with the gold mosaics. From here you can walk onto the outside balcony with the four bronze horses.

Doge's Palace: again get there early.

Salute, Accademia, and walking around Dorsoduro in one hour is very tight. It's really not worth going into the Accademia unless you're prepared to look around at the artwork.

You have allowed two hours to walk from St Mark's Square to the Frari Basilica. Even with a stop at Rialto Markets this walk can be done in one hour, unless you're detouring off the tourist path to look at other areas of Venice.

Answer :
Obviously it is rushed, but do what you want. In Venice, try to find the time to go out to see Burano in addition to Murano. Murano is not really that great to see, unless you are seeing a glass-blowing demonstration. Burano, on the other hand, is beautiful and is known for its hand-made lace work.

One hour at the Doge's palace is rushed as well, but if you are not interested in all the detail (that is, you are not using an audio guide) then obviously you will be fine.

Since you are on a very tight schedule, you will want to make as many reservations as you can to avoid wasting time standing in line. The best thing about Saint Mark's Basilica is that there is no cost to make the reservation, but you cannot make reservations until April so it depends on when you are going.

Although your Rome itinerary is especially crammed, your Sunday seems to be quite intense. How do you plan on getting from the Borghese Gallery to the Appian Way, unless of course you plan on paying for a taxi - which is likely the best idea.

You will pretty well be seeing everything that you will want to - have a great trip!

Can I get a refund for a cruise ticket that I purchase and I miss the ship at the dockside?

my brother and his girlfriend purchase tickets for a cruise. the ship is carnival. He was planning on proposing to her on the ship. when they got to the dock the ship left. so now they are not getting a refund. And they lost about $2000. when they call to get a refund, they was told that they signed a contract stating if for any reasons no refund will be given. what can they do, is there any loop hole.

Answer :
I'm afraid that the cruise line is in the right, and you're in the wrong. It's clearly stated in your contract. They request that you're at the port a few hours before the ship departs. I guess you've learned an expensive lesson.

Answer :
Their travel itinerary would state which dock the ship would be berthed at and also what time it would be boarding and departing at. If for any reason the ship left earlier then scheduled or left from a different dock then they would have reasons for refund (wrong information given to them).

However, if the details were correct and they arrived later than the scheduled time then they have no reason for a refund.

All I can say is check all the paper work to ensure that the schedules, times, etc they were given match that of the ship. If they do not match then they might have a chance.

Answer :
If they in fact missed the ship due to a cause covered by trip insurance and can prove that (like being in a hospital emergency room with a legit injury or serious illness), they might be able to be paid by the insurer -- if they had the insurance and if the cause was covered. Otherwise, they can fly at their own expense to meet the ship at the next port and board there. Simply being late does NOT qualify for any sort of refund at all from the cruise company -- and all that is clearly explained in the cruise documents!

Answer :
This is why it's always a good idea to get to the departure port the night before the cruise.

You get no refund because that's what you agreed to. Unless you have trip insurance that covers the reason you missed the boat, you're out of luck. And, yes, if you want to meet the ship at the next port you have to pay your own way to get there. Depending on how far you have to go to do that - and how much it costs - it might beat just letting the cruise fare go down the drain.

Going 5 miles over the speed limit, is it worth fighting?

So today, It is absolutely gorgeous outside. It is perfect weather conditions and I've been in class all day and have a 45min commute to home. I travel this highway Monday-Thursday every week for the last 2 years and the posted speed limit is 65mph. That is a reasonable speed for a high traffic well traveled highway. Most people drive between 65 and 70 when weather is good and traffic is flowing. There are always the idiots that blow past everyone going 75 to 80mph. I always set my cruise control on nice days like today when the roads are in good driving condition and for the most part i set it between 65 and 70 since the flow of the traffic travels within those speeds. So today set at 70mph I am just doing my thing driving down the road. Over one of the hills there is a sheriff's deputy outside of his car on the side of the road shooting radar. I travel this road like I said everyday pretty much on cruise control at the same speed. I have passed many officers taking radar and checking speed in that same spot all of the time. So I keep driving and think nothing of it. Next few minuets later I am being pulled over.

Ok yes, I do realize that I was speeding 5 miles over the posted limit and yes, technically that is breaking the law. But when the officer was so rude in asking why I was in such a hurry and why I just kept on going after I saw that he was shooting radar...I was getting annoyed by this. I said I was going 5 over on cruise control and didn't think it was a big deal considering the time of day and weather and light traffic. He said actually you were going 71 and that is 6 miles over. You were speeding. I guess I should have been more nice but he was being really rude, when I said um no I had the cruise set at 70...dead on 70.

Well I ended up with ticket and this guy didn't even get the color of my car right!!! I know it is only 5 over but he was so rude about it and acted like I should have slammed on breaks the second I saw his radar gun but it still would have been to late he already had me gunned. Is this ticket worth fighting? I really don't want to pay $135 for going 5 miles over the speed limit, plus he had an attitude that was most unpleasant.

Answer :
I fight every ticket I get. Even parking tickets.

I never admit to breaking the law when I'm fighting those tickets. I always say that I was driving a safe and reasonable speed for the roadway conditions, because I always am.

If he didn't get the color of your car right, you can probably argue that the ticket should be thrown out - it wasn't meant for you. After you say that you were driving a safe and reasonable speed for the roadway conditions, and if you do not admit to driving over the speed limit.

Source(s):

Wild guesses, because I'm not a lawyer and I've only won 17 ticket cases.

Answer :
His attitude may have been rude and disrespectful, but the judge is not going to care about that. The judge is only concerned about one thing: did you break the law, or did you not. You clearly broke the law (you admitted it yourself), so you will lose the case. I wouldn't bother.

Answer :
Normally if you fight it they will tell you that they will throw out any cases a certain speed over and 5 over is small enough that it probably will be thrown out.

Do you think my boyfriend still has feelings for his ex?

Do you think my boyfriend still has feelings for his ex?
My boyfriend dated a girl he met on a cruise. They separated once the cruise ended. My bf and I live in Ohio and him and his ex still talk on the phone like she'll call him and such. She does have a boyfriend tho. My boyfriend keeps telling me he's going to buy plane tickets and fly over to Arizona for a week to visit her and her family for her birthday. He saids her family loves him, and he might go to college in Arizona to "be close to her" Do you think he'd cheat on me when he's gone for a week with her? But he said she's just an amazing friend, and maybe he's just bein a good guy to visit her. like keeping in touch.. my boyfriend and i have been dating for almost a month but he has not said "i love you" he saids i love everything about you, and that he's happy with me, blessed to have me, and he wishes he would have met me sooner, he wants me to be his longest relationship and even mentioned marriage brieftly.. but its just this ex of his that makes me worried.. exspecially if he goes to college down in arizona

Answer :
From what your saying it sound obvious to me as a 28 year old guy that he likes her. That doesn't mean he doesn't like you too, it is entirely possible to like both. But if he is considering going to college to be closer to her which would mean further from you..uh..I think there is your answer right there. He is probably just a young, fickle dude, especially if he is thinking about packing up and moving for some chick that hooked up with while on a cruise for a few days. You both will probably end up with different people in the next few years. You will probably find someone you like even better. I know that is not a pleasant thought, but I am just telling you the likely scenario from what I have seen over and over again. Don't put too much stock in this particular relationship. Go have fun while you still can.

Answer :
Well if he says he loves you then his not going to cheat on you but then again it makes me think why does he want to go to arizona for college he could go there in ohio. I don't know i used to have a boyfriend a long time ago he used to tell me the same thing in i believed him and he ended up breaking up with me so i don't know what to tell you...if he really loves you and want to be with you in get married he wouldn't want to leave you or especially far away from you.

Answer :
Honey....re-read your question and think logically.....why are you even with this guy?? I cant believe he told you all of this! YES, he will cheat on you and YES he's planning on seeing her again and quite possibly just having you as his "local girlfriend".....he's taking you for a fool!! But I'm sorry honey, he met her on a cruise?? How long did that last, 1 week?? It's not even a real relationship, this guy probably just wants to bone her, it's not "love" love....so really, stay away from this, I can only sense betrayal, lies and deception from here....please, be wise about this...DUMP HIM.

How do I get over a friend who passed away?

My friend died suddenly out of nowhere while on a cruise. He wasn't even supposed to be on that stupid boat until he won the tickets on a card game. We couldn't have a decent funeral for him because his body was never found in the Atlantic. Anyways, I miss Jack and I was wondering if anyone has any advice how I can get over this.

Answer :
First of all, it's okay to cry because it only shows that you're human...the way i got over death, is i worked myself really hard, I don't want someone like you to do that because it ruins you...anyways try reading, and instead of thinking of the negative, think how your friend is doing, he's in heaven, i hope this helps...live your life....

Answer :
Death, isnt something you can just get over. Just give it time. Allow yourself to feel. Listen to some sad songs and just take time. I'm sorry about ur friend.

Answer :
Actually, I'm pretty sure he made it out alive. I saw him in The Departed.

Cruise Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

So I'm going on a cruise in a month with a group of friends/ my bf was invited&i even told him i would pay for his ticket..but he chose not to go because.he had school, which i understood, but i still begged him to go because I really wanted him to come. So I'm going without him, which I dont think there is anything wrong with. I've never been on a spring break before,he;'s been to cozmel mexico for his spring break with his brother.(While we were together) Anyway, he is furious that I'm going.. telling me its disrespectful on my part&i shouldnt be doing this to him. I'm not going to cheat, so i really dont see what the problem is. He actually expects me not to drink while I'm on this cruise&will probly make me feel like **** if i do. He also told me that if I get raped, it will be my fault&i deserve it. Needless to say, I'm so offended. Do you think he's overreacting? Is it wrong for me to go on a cruise with my friends w/out him?

Answer :
Go on the cruise--do not wander off alone and stop worrying about what anyone else-including the bf thinks. I travel without my husband at times, because I am the owner of a cruise travel agency. Respect and trust should be cornerstones of your relationship. If you feel that you are being dictated to or not receiving respect--perhaps it is time to re-evaluate your relationship.
Cruising is a great way for singles to see the world and meet new friends. It offers opportunities that you would not have on a land vacation. You will meet friends at dinner and in the public areas. Do not let anyone take away your freedom to have fun.
I book many wedding cruises every month. I book family and friend getaways--you are not the only person to ever have this question--but interestingly, it is always asked by women-never men.

Answer :
Loose this guy. Its not just the fact that he's jealous, but it's how he relays that to you that is alarming. Can you imagine what his reaction would be if you were married. You invited him to go, he said no. You are allowed to have friends and you are allowed to enjoy yourself. Enjoy your cruise. And by the way you can drink A LOT of booze on the boat without getting drunk. Has something to do with being at sea level.

Answer :
This is a selfish, controlling, angry, mean-spirited man, and those are the ones likely to become physically abusive. Dump him now and have a wonderful cruise!

Answer :
You need to drop that jerk and find a good man. He is simpley being an *ss. And to say that if you get raped its your fault. That's not the kinda of guy you want.

Answer :
OMFG he is acting so pathetic it makes me sick to even read this! You should seriously dump his ***. I mean, for him not to be happy for you to go and enjoy yourself is just downright immature. Also, for him to bring up the chance of you possibly getting raped is just sick, he literally doesn't have a sensible bone in his body. If I were you I would find a new man and take him. Someone who will enjoy that wonderful experience with you. Or take another friend--drink and have fun like it is your last days on earth. Not many people get the chance to go on a wonderful cruise like you. F it....

How do I get around not being able to take my child on vacation?

I am suppose to go on vacation (a cruise) with my daughter and the ticket are already paid for. I've heard that I have to have a notarized statement from her father, and he a refusing to do that out of spite. Is there a way to get around this legally.

Answer :
I'm not too familiar with this but my parents also got a divorce, anyways if you have custody of your daughter then I don't see why you can't just take her anyways. Now if its joint custody I really don't know.

Answer :
file for custody. If you already have a custody agreement, file a petition to modify the order so that it specifically states that you can take the child on a cruise. In New YOrk this is done in Family Court and there are no filing fees.

Any airlines still allow traditional standby flights?

I know back in the day you could cruise up to the ticket counter & sneak onto a flight that was leaving that day but not full for next to nothing. Times have changed, but I was wondering if anyone knows about any airlines that still do this?

Answer :
Yep - flying standby is a thing of the past.

Airtran U is probably the closest thing but is limited to students and is not a last minute purchase option......

Answer :
I know in brisbane Jetstar still offers what some refer to as mystery flights but the cost are usually not much of a discount , much cheaper planning ahead as fares are generally at bargin prices when purchased in advance , If you want a surprise ask a close friend to randomly pick a place , put ticket in sealed envelope and you dont open it until you get to the airport to checkin.

Answer :
No, in fact you're likely to pay much more when you show up at the last minute to purchase a ticket these days.

What's Left To Do In New York?

Hey Everyone

My wife and I are both 24 and heading to New York for our two year wedding anniversary on april 10th for 5 nights! Just looking on some more tips for things for us to do. So far we are doing the following:

Knicks vs Miami Heat at MSG
Mary Poppins Show at The New Amsterdam
Circle Cruise round Manhattan
Central Park Carriage Ride
Empire State Building
Ellis Island
Rockafeller

But does anyone know some good places to eat, but reasonably affordable? I am also a big true crime buff, and I have read every american mafia book there is pretty much, and would love to do some sort of tour, but can't find any that exist besides the sopranos one, which doesn'ts interest me much. So any interesting mafia tours?

Also we would love to get tickets to some sort of tv studio show like Conan O'Brien show, where can I get tickets for that?

A raffle has a grand prize of a Alaskan cruise valued at $15000...?

A raffle has a grand prize of a Alaskan cruise valued at $15000 with a second prize of a Rocky Point vacation valued at $1300. If each ticket costs $2 and 8000 tickets are sold, what are the expected winnings far a ticket buyer?

Answer :
ticket money: 16000
prize money: 16300
difference: 300
difference per ticket: 0.3
so the expected winnings are 30 cents for a ticket buyer
(not very realistic to have expected winnings instead of expected loss ;-) )

What is the best cruise line site?

cruise tickets that are at a good price? im thinking of going on a cruise to mexico in august and im wondering what sites are really good for purchasing! thanks

Answer :
It depends on your needs. As a travel agent, I will say that booking with the owner of the agency is a good idea-many online sites hire "order takers" these folks are not travel agents. They may be at the job one day before they take your booking and may be gone the next. These jobs are paid a percentage of their orders and often are told they will see 6 figures in a short time--when reality hits-they "book" (pun intended) A travel agent that has been around will be there from start to finish. When you have questions you will want an answer quickly and you want the correct answer-not a guess or a maybe.
Book your travel with a reputable agency-you will be given excellent service and usually the same price as the discount online big boys.

How can I find some free cruises? Is there a such thing?

Well, just like the airlines sometimes used to throw some free tickets here and there, is there a thing like that happening with cruises?

Answer :
None of the major cruise lines offer free cruises to the general public. Save some money and take a 3/4 night cruise during the off-peak season for under $150pp

Hope I helped!

Answer :
I would be very careful with this. Ever heard the term "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." ?

I think it's going to be extremely hard to find a "free" cruise unless, like others have mentioned, you win it from a contest, (read my above caution), or a complimentary cruise by having sailed many, many times previously with the same cruise company, and have spent mega bucks. Sometimes if you attend a meeting for timeshares, or buy a new car, boat, or condo, they'll offer a vacation package. But there's almost always a catch to it somewhere. VERY FEW things in life are 100% free with no strings attached.

There are a few stories out there of cruisers having a bad experience or circumstance that warranted compensation of some sort, by the cruise company, which "sometimes" resulted in a complimentary cruise. These weren't exactly free, though. The cruisers did initially pay for their trip, but something went wrong, and the cruise company was kind enough to re-emberse them.

There's an old saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." Sometimes.... complaining about something (whether it's legitimate or not) enough can get you what you want, but the expense is that it makes the person submitting the complaint look really bad. I don't advise that approach!

Good luck with your search. Meanwhile, consider saving up some $$, so that if you aren't able to find one for free, you'll still eventually be able to go on cruise, if that is something you really want to do.

Answer :
Sorry there is no such thing as free cruise. Get a job, start saving, and you will be able to cruise.

Look for sales and discounts - Carnival Cruise is one of the least expensive. Start with a three day Caribbean cruise - maybe about $70 a day - you will be able to find on at that price. Includes cabin and food - pop, drinks, tips, excusions are extra.

Good luck - start saving. Its well worth the price.

Answer :
You cant get a free cruise vacation, but If you book at the last minute you will get a killer deal. And by last minute i mean even one week before departure. You still have to pay for airline too though.

When you book at last minute the cruise line will give it out at up to 90% off just to fill space.

Answer :
Try this site www.onboardclassifieds.com and click on Cruise For Free link. That's the only one I found so far that offers any kind of intelligent way of sorting and searching for this kinds of stuff and it's legit. Other sites are all freaking timeshares and you don't want to give them your info... they will never leave you alone. Good luck.

Answer :
Only way is if you are someone who has cruised with the line lots and lots of time, you then can get a 7 day cruise comped to you, but you'd need to take upwards of 25 week long cruises.
