It depends on your needs. As a travel agent, I will say that booking with the owner of the agency is a good idea-many online sites hire "order takers" these folks are not travel agents. They may be at the job one day before they take your booking and may be gone the next. These jobs are paid a percentage of their orders and often are told they will see 6 figures in a short time--when reality hits-they "book" (pun intended) A travel agent that has been around will be there from start to finish. When you have questions you will want an answer quickly and you want the correct answer-not a guess or a maybe.
Book your travel with a reputable agency-you will be given excellent service and usually the same price as the discount online big boys.
