I got a ticket in Fresno county for speeding over 70mph. is it possible to transfer the hearing to riverside?

It was10pm when I was driving cruise control at 70 mph on the fast lane of I-5 south Fresno county. My wife and 2 sons are with me during the trip from Reno. Suddenly, a dodge ram truck was tailgaiting and flashing headlights on me. I moved to the right lane to yield but then said truck moved on the same lane as if the truck driver was already intimidating me. I slightly pressed on my brakes to inform the truck driver to drive at a safe following distance. Unfortunately, the truck driver was picking on me. I felt that my family and I were in danger.

I had to step on the gas pedal and accelerate at 90mph in order to go to the nearest exit. When I left behind the truck, out of nowhere, a white CHP car was already following me, flashed his lights, and sirens. As I pulled over, I told the officer that I was avoiding the intimidating truck driver that was tailgaiting on me. Officer still gave me a ticket. I began to think that I was forced by the truck driver to overspeed in order for the CHP officer to catch me. The truck driver and CHP officer might possibly know each other.

what are my other options? my last traffic school was 6 months ago because of speeding at 73 mph on a carpool lane of 57 freeway. do i just attend the court hearing in Fresno at 8 am and plead not guilty, mail a request a trial by declaration? any suggestions?

sorry but you have to show up in Fresno at 8:00 am if it's a mandatory appearance if not pay the fine, I'm sure the Judge has already heard that one.

Your best bet is to call the courts and ask them. Or simply go to the courts website and see if they give you this option
